Encouraged by the success of Albatross conversion, the shipowner decided to entrust us with the preparation of the documentation for a large heavy-lift. Its main task was to transport large, weighing over 30 T each, modules from Korean shipyards to Norwegian fields. By working on such an ambitious project, we have gained several skills as an office, including those related to simulation of loading, reloading and slipping cargo onto the vessel, and the ship’s behavior in submerged and swimming states.

The accident of the cruise ship Costa Concordia in January 2013 cost the lives of over 30 people and shook the entire world. NED-Project contributed to retrieving the cruise ship, which was the beginning of our activity in the field of salvage.
